Rotary Accessible & Inclusive Fitness Station
The Coffs Harbour Rotary Club are working with CHCC to provide Coffs Harbour with the first Accessible & inclusive Fitness Station.
In consultation with community groups. Rotary identified the need to provide an opportunity for all members of our community to have free access to fitness equipment.
Our project focuses on community needs and will cost $29,000 which has been funded by our club and $16,000 from the State government community building partnership grant programme which was facilitated by our local member.
Accessible exercise equipment addresses the movement needs of those with disabilities; striving to remove obstacles and barriers.
Our project will compliment our recent Nguura project with shade, picnic areas, drinking water and bike rack now in place.
It will create an exercise and meeting point for individuals and community groups. mention access to fresh water.
Accordingly, there will be an increase in the number of people utilising the area with an improved health & wellbeing outcome for our community.
Construction commenced on the 22/7/2019 and construction has now been completed.
It has be over twelve months in the planning and is a great result for our community.
Thank you for all of those who have contributed in bringing this to life.
